03 / SOUND DESIGN & CREATIVE WORK

The human voice,
inside the machine.

BEAT THANG BEAT MACHINE / BEAT KANGZ

Chesney Snow contributed his beatboxing to the sound library of the Beat Thang, the sampling beat machine developed by Beat Kangz. His work brought the textures of a live human instrument into a tool for music production.

His contributions included beatbox samples and loops, vocal scratches, and sound effects, with vocal percussion used for drum sounds such as kicks and snares. The project extends his practice as a sound designer and creative collaborator from the stage into the instruments other artists use to make music.
